    Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications along with resumes for a full-time Journeyman LinemanThe Journeyman Lineman is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment.  as they work in various industries that may include, but are not limited to: Energy, Mining, Concrete, Oil and Gas, Aggregate, Food & Drug / General Industry, etc.

    The Journeyman Lineman will be based out of the Pillar Innovations’ office, located in Farmington, NM.

    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

     

    • Installation, construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical transmission, distribution and service lines, wood poles, transformers, electrical substations and related equipment.
    • Inspect line and electrical apparatus for damage.
    • String new wire and/or maintain old wire.
    • Operate man-lifts, digger/derrick trucks, trenching equipment, spooling equipment and other similar equipment required for the position.
    • Be available for emergency call-outs for outages and restorations.
    • Setting of towers and/or poles.
    • Climbing raised poles, ladders and towers.

    Qualifications

    Job Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Successful completion of Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship
    • Valid Journeyman Lineman Electrical License
    • 5+ years of Journeyman Lineman experience
    • Class A CDL License is preferred
    • Competency in CPR and pole top rescue

    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
    • Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception
    • Required safety equipment:  Metatarsal boots, ARC flash rated clothing, protective eye wear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection

     

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    1. Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
    2. This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. In accordance with Pillar Innovation’s Drug and Alcohol policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.
