    Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications for a full-time Electrical Project Manager.  The Electrical Project Manager will participate in and lead and direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of electrical components and applications ranging from low to high voltage.   Such applications include, but are not limited to:  Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal, Wind Energy, Commercial, Residential, etc. 


    This position will require a flexible schedule that includes extended hours, weekends, holidays and evenings.  Areas of operations include, but are not limited to:  MD, PA, WV, and OH.

    The Electrical Project Manager will work out of the Pillar Shop located in Morgantown, WV.

    • Lead the quoting, planning and implementation of customer projects and initiatives
    • Provide development and oversight of project scope, goals, scheduling, budgets, risk management and resource management to ensure that jobs are on-time; on-budget; and meet Code requirements and customer expectations
    • Coordinate with inspectors and other trades to ensure that work plans and quality standards are being meet
    • Plan and direct work to maintain continuous production and progress
    • Develop project plans, time lines, material coordination, job sequencing and labor requirements
    • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and cultivate customer relations and identify expanded business opportunities
    • Manage and supervise project team members through effective coaching and supervision - train and develop personnel as required
    • Provide management with fiscal reporting and updates as required
    • Identify potential problems and provide effective solutions and problem-resolution
    • Maintain quality and safety standards without exception
    • Perform related work as required such as participate in; lead; and direct all electrical work required for the completion of projects and assignments, which may include, but not be limited to, the following:
      • Install, maintain and  repair electrical systems in industrial facilities, which could include but not be limited to wiring, conduit, fixtures, and electrical devices
      • Install and test new equipment and systems
      • Repair and maintain existing systems and equipment
      • Read and follow electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, schematics and other electrical specifications
      • Trouble-shoot, diagnosis, and repair electrical issues, systems and components independently with minimal direction and supervision
      • Repair and install large electrical equipment, industrial fans, large motors, generators, control systems, grounding systems, etc.
      • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
      • Provide detailed paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
      • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in a professional and workman-like manner
    • Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned


    • Electrical Degree strongly preferred, not required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3+ years of industrial Electrical Project Manager experience working in Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal Industry, Wind Energy, etc.  
    • Must possess the knowledge and experience to perform installs and repairs to low, medium and high voltage systems and components
    • Must possess or have the ability, knowledge and willingness to obtain one of the following licenses within twelve (12) months of hire:
      • State of West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety & Training, Certified Electrician Card and U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Qualified Electrician card.
      • Master Electricians License for the State of West Virginia
    • Must possess knowledge of materials, methods, equipment and tools involved in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and components
    • Must possess the ability to utilize a wide array of tools and diagnostic devices to effectively trouble-shoot; identify root cause; and take corrective action
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry and schematics
    • Proficient in organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
    • Demonstrated ability to excel under pressure and meet budget and project deadlines
    • Possess computer skills that would include Microsoft Office Programs to include Excel, Word and Power Point
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to represent Pillar Innovations in a professional, competent and courteous manner
    • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Must be able to effectively adapt to ever-changing and ever-emerging customer needs
    • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that include travel, out-of-town work, weekends, extended hours and call-out work
    • Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude
    • Must be able to work well with co-workers and customers

    1. Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
    2. This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
