    This position will be responsible for handling field installation of network, security and other related electrical systems, building card access control IP & analog camera systems, troubleshooting and repairing cabling systems and equipment. This position will be based out of the Pillar Innovations’ home office, located in Morgantown, WV. Our ideal candidate must be customer-driven, flexible, and willing to work extended hours. It is also preferred that candidates have previous experience in fire alarm and/or security systems installation.

    • Diagnose and provide solutions for system failures and troubles
    • Analyze blue prints, schematics and drawings of network, security and/or other related electrical systems
    • Program low voltage security products such as cameras, NVRS, DVRS, access control, intercoms, gate operators and networks
    • Inspect electrical, security and networking systems and their components for possible repairs or maintenance
    • Install electrical system components as assigned (i.e. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, switches, cameras, servers…etc.)
    • Prepare written materials to document activities and/or conveying information
    • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
    • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security
    • Work patiently with customers, and maintain communication to keep them informed
    • Be detail oriented and methodical when troubleshooting issues
    • Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned


    • Applicants must be a citizen of the United States with a valid driver’s license
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1+ years of experience with electronic security/CCTV
    • Manufacturers training is a plus
    • Experience reading blueprints desired
    • Well-rounded experience in cameras, networking and configurations
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers and customers
    • Possess a working knowledge of personal computers and software applications to aid in installation process
    • Be able customer focused, and able to work independently and/or with co-workers
    • Willing to participate in a background and drug screening process
    • Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include travel, out-of-town work, weekends, extended hours and call-out work
