The Panel Shop Technician will be responsible for building electrical controls panels to specifications for internal and external customers.  The selected individual will work within a wide range of industries and applications to include but not be limited to: energy, commercial and industrial.

    This position will be based out of the Pillar Innovations’ office, located in Farmington, NM.

    • Build and wire control panels according to CAD drawings and bill of materials
    • General duties will include assembly of control panels and enclosures, mounting components on panels, wire cutting, stripping, soldering, crimping, and testing of finished panels
    • Maintain a clean and organized shop area
    • Maintain inventory levels
    • Prepare finished control panels for shipment
    • Electrical troubleshooting 
    • Exercise safe electrical practices
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Possess a valid driver’s license
    • High School diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or related area
    • Graduate of a technical school with emphasis in electrical work is a plus
    • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics
    • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and shop standards
    • Ability to use tools such as pliers, knives, hacksaws, wire strippers and other small tools
    • Possess solid work ethic
    • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors
    • Willingness to undergo a background and drug screening process if offered a position
