    Pillar is currently on the lookout for a Product Manager to join our Morgantown, WV team. This position will be responsible for the continuous improvement of existing IoT product and service offerings, management of existing and ongoing projects, serving as the direct point of contact for clients, and providing leadership for new R&D initiatives. The Product Manager will be based out of the Morgantown office, and will include some amount of day travel.

    Responsibilities

    • Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and prepare sound design solutions that leverage a rapidly growing IoT platform and hardware portfolio
    • Communicate customer needs with mobile development and engineering groups to provide a development quote to the customer
    • Work with new and existing customers to market our current products and development services
    • Manage the design team to ensure projects are within budget, and are done to customer specifications
    • Develop and implement overall marketing and distribution strategy for mobile products
    • Become a subject matter expert for existing products and new product/service offerings
    • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
    • Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals
    • Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept drawings for a team of Engineers, Software Developers, and Field Technicians
    • Create accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain inventory
    • Work with engineers to create customer documentation such as functional diagrams and user manuals
    • Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards

    Qualifications

    • Applicants must be a citizen of the United States with a Valid Driver’s License
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, Environmental Sciences or a related field
    • 2+ years’ experience in product development; Experience with IoT or geotechnical products preferred
    • Proficient with MS Office productivity software and PM best practices
    • Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
    • Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills
    • Capable of organizing and presenting highly technical concepts to various stakeholders
    • Ability to balance multiple projects in an organized manner
    • Ability to work independently and in team environments
    • Minimal overnight travel is required
    • Willing to work a flexible schedule and willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call department
    • Willing to undergo a thorough background and drug screening process
