The general role of a Tower Technician I - Wireless Services is to safely and efficiently complete equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades at communication sites both on the ground and at elevated heights under the supervision of trained personnel. This work will be performed in both commercial and industrial locations.
This individual will represent Pillar Innovations in a safe, professional, and courteous manner. This position will require a flexible schedule which may include extensive travel, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
The Tower Technician I will report to the Construction Manager – Wireless Services and will work primarily out of their assigned location.
• 0- 1 year of experience climbing towers or work in elevated conditions
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to successfully obtain certifications such as: Authorized Climber, Authorized Rescuer, ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification, Capstan Operations, RF Awareness, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR
• Ability and attitude to follow rigid job safety standards and properly utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment
• Willingness to climb communication towers, and work for extended periods at 300’ +, for the purpose of installing, repairing, constructing, and maintaining various communication systems
• Willingness to take on and learn new tasks and skills
• Ability to work effectively as an individual or a member of a team
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English is required
