Position Overview

The general role of the Accounting Administrative Assistant is to support the accounting functions of the Grantsville Division. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for administrative support, utilizing tracking software to open and close jobs, enter employee time, equipment usage, prepare, and send customer invoices, and other office tasks as assigned.

 This individual will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and must become proficient with the products and services offered by the company.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in various daily operations to include the opening and closing of jobs, entering employee time and equipment usage, compiling data to compare and send invoices, etc.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties including filing, coping, typing, administrative support, and data entry
  • Prepare business correspondence, reports, agendas, and presentations
  • Coordinate between departments and operating units in resolving day-to-day administrative issues
  • Assist in supporting and maintaining systems and initiatives for the Division
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities

What You'll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required with preference granted to those with Associate’s Degree in accounting or business-related field and/or equivalent work-related experience
  • Excellent phone etiquette, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Prior accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient with basic mathematical skills and concepts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Customer service driven
  • Able to prioritize competing work assignments
  • Must be punctual, dependable, trustworthy, work well with co-workers, and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license required
