Position Overview

The general role of the Jr. Measurement Technician is to support the installation, removal, and upkeep of flow meters, gas monitors, gauges, and other measurement instruments. They will assist with equipment calibration, generate reports on the accuracy of measurement devices, and help resolve any issues related to flow measurements.

 

The Jr. Measurement Technician will report to the Lead Measurement Technician and will work primarily out of the Morgantown location.

 

What You'll Do

  • Assist with Installing, removing, and maintaining flow meters, gas monitors, gauges, and other measurement devices
  • Assist with testing, calibrating, and repairing water metering equipment to meet specifications
  • Prepare reports on measurement equipment accuracy
  • Perform routine maintenance on instruments on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Assist with troubleshooting process control performance issues associated with the systems measurement and control devices
  • Maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional manner
  • Following proper safety and incident reporting procedures
  • Maintain a line of open communication with customers

What You'll Bring

  • 0-2 years of experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License is required
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with installation, testing, and calibration of meters is preferred
  • Experience in oil and gas measurement preferred
  • Basic knowledge of oilfield production and/or measurement equipment is preferred
  • Able to coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to ever-changing and ever-emerging customer needs
  • Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude
  • Must be able to work well with co-workers and customers
  • Willing to participate and abide by company background/drug screening process and policy
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that include travel, out-of-town work, weekends, extended hours and call-out work

Working Conditions

  • Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders and stairs; crawl; kneel; stoop
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception
