Position Overview

As a Sr. Electrical Engineer – Engineering & Automation, you’ll play a key leadership role in bringing complex, cutting-edge projects to life—from early concept and design through installation and commissioning. This is a hands-on, high-impact position for someone who thrives on solving real-world challenges and shaping innovative electrical solutions.

 

Our projects span a wide range of exciting technologies, including custom electromechanical equipment, control panels, robotics, and vision systems. You’ll collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers and project managers, providing technical expertise, mentorship, and engineering leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

 

This role offers variety and visibility, with work performed in the office, shop, and at customer sites as needed. If you enjoy seeing your designs move off the screen and into the field, this position delivers.

The ideal candidate brings expert-level knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, a passion for innovation, and the flexibility to support project demands. Travel and overtime may be required at times, though overnight travel is typically infrequent.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and advises as to Electrical schematics and panel layouts, component specification, assembly, and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products as assigned
  • Evaluate and review bids and proposals to minimize risk and ensure profitability
  • Recognize and pursue additional business opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices
  • Evaluate internal processes and procedures while seeking continuous improvement
  • Assign, oversee, review, and provide feedback to other Engineers on work assignments
  • Verify that end products meet the project scope, budget, and needs of customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high quality of product
  • Gather information and pricing for proposal process to include site visits as needed

 

Working Conditions

  • Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
  • Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Perform work on site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years’ of electrical or other relevant work experience required
  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Passing PE (Professional Engineering Exam) or ability to obtain preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
  • Must be willing to attend training and remain updated regarding industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, define, and edit scope of work
  • Ability to review the accuracy of mathematical calculations in things like models, drawing, components, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability in training personnel and providing relevant learning opportunities
